About Me
Sherry Luke, originally from Modesto, Ca. is the creator and owner of Sherry’s Jewelry. While working all of her life in the clerical and analytical field she has always dreamed of opening her own home based business where she can be home to raise her little girl. She gets inspiration from her dreams, pictures of jewelry that seem to just appear in her mind or from nature and her surrounding environment. At times the piece begins as one thing and then develops into its own creation. What you see in her jewelry designs is her love of the art and extraordinary attention she gives to each detail. She’s always loved minerals and gemstones and has been very creative coming from a family of crafters and musicians. She began officially making wire sculpted jewelry in 2004 as a hobby. Noticing others were looking for excellent quality and a price that fit their budget she began her journey working towards fulfilling her dreams. She began selling her work to her friends and coworkers, and attended the local Craft Fairs, including the Christmas Craft Fair in Mariposa, Ca., amongst others. By 2010 her business was beginning to take shape and her websites were started. You can find Sherry’s Jewelry at www.sherrysjewelry.etsy.com, www.sherrysjewelry.artfire.com and her home website - www.sherrysjewelr.com. She now resides in Coulterville, Ca. with her three year old daughter and fiancé where Sherry takes the necessary time to select her gemstones and minerals from all over the United States. She believes in the “No Dirty Gold” initiative. She believes in donating her work to worthy causes, for example, The MS Society and Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). Her original designs and creations have been recognized by www.WireSculpture.com, Artfire.com and the very well known Fire Mountain Gems.com where she has been a Featured Artist. Sherry is a member of the Self Representing Artists of Jewelry Design (SRAJD), Biltmore’s Who’s Who, National Association of Professional Women and The Artisan Group.
